Your rug will undergo a comprehensive inspection before your rug spa treatment begins. We'll make notes of anything that might require special care. We'll photo document all regions of concern and for insurance businesses, we can provide a clear outline of what is needed to restore the rug to its' original state.
Removing dust and dirt from your rug before being washed is an important step that shouldn't be over looked. Handmade rugs have the unique ability to hold pounds of dirt. Our Wolverine Rug Duster is capable of collecting and removing large amounts of dust and dirt.
Testing your rug for feeble dyes is another step in our thorough rug treatment process. This will let us know exactly how to proceed with your treasured rug.
Some rugs will bleed regardless of what measures have been taken. We will do our very best to explain all of this to you personally before we proceed with your cleanup.
Your rug will be washed in our new Centrum Star Rug Washing Tub. This European designed machine will enable your rug to gently "swim" in water allowing water to flow through the pile to remove soluble dirt and other sedimentary soils that remain after the dusting process. Our distinctive bath water is treated to make your rug soft and smelling absolutely fresh and clean without using perfumes and residues which are used in other cleaning methods.
Our specialized rug washing tub works remarkably well on pet odours.
With the washing step complete, we then place your rug into our custom made Centri-Maxx® centrifugal rug wringer.
Your rug is rolled and then put into the cylinder to be spun at 900 rpm. This functions exactly the same as your front loading washing machine and spins out as much of the moisture as possible. While your rug is still spinning, we inject water into the cylinder to flush out any residual traces of cleaning agents and suspended soils. This eliminates so much moisture that when your rug comes out, it is just only slightly damp.
Now your rug is prepared to start the drying phase. The type of your rug will dictate whether it should be hung or laid flat for drying. We've got a climate controlled area with fans that give a gentle breeze to eliminate the last percentage of moisture in your rug. We also use de-humidifiers and air exchangers to remove moisture from the room to enhance the drying phase.
We allow your rug to dry as long as necessary so you receive a dry rug.
After all your rug spa activities are complete, we will give your rug a final vacuuming and roll it up so it is ready for delivery back to you. We can custom wrap your area rug for moving or storage. We will set up a delivery time that's convenient for you and even assist you in laying your rug out, if that's something you would like help with.
